How to Prepare for Notary
It is important to prepare for your notary public appointment. Being prepared will save you both time and money.
All documents must be filled out before arriving to your appointment, but do not sign the document until requested to do so by the Notary.
Signer must physically appear and sign documents in front of Notary.
The signer must bring valid form of ID (State DL, State ID Card, US Passport). If you are unsure if your ID is acceptable, don’t hesitate to call us and ask.
As a license Notary in the State of California, Notaries are prohibited from notarizing or certifying copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates.
What type of ID is Acceptable?
Any one of the following Valid Identifications (providing they are current) are acceptable:
• California Driver’s License
• California Identification Card
• Two credible witness’s (for a person who does not have current ID)
• Mexico Driver’s license
• US Passport
• US Military ID Card
• Inmate ID Card
• Other State Driver’s License
• Other State Identification card
• Canada Driver’s License
• Foreign Passports stamped by USCIS
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, all major Credit/Debit Cards, Paypal, Venmo and ApplePay. For your convenience, we do also have invoicing accounts for companies and repeat clients.
Notaries aren’t able to perform the following services
Notarize photographs, wills, mortgages or I-9 forms
Certify copies of birth, marriage, divorce or death certificates
Notarize incomplete documents
Provide witnesses
What Is Notarization?
Notarization is the official fraud-deterrent process that assures the parties of a transaction that a document is authentic, and can be trusted. It is a three-part process, performed by a Notary Public, that includes of vetting, certifying and record-keeping. Notarizations are sometimes referred to as "notarial acts."

Yes! All of our Notary’s must go through yearly background tests, pass the California mandated Notary exam and of course have current bonds and E&O insurance through the State of California.
